Nuno Ferreira

Nuno Ferreira (1994, Porto) is a visual artist and researcher currently based in Heidelberg, Germany. His work deals with the scope of mapping time and memories and evaluating their impact on human experience through personal navigation of archival images. His artistic practice has been rooted in the construction and maintenance of a personal Atlas mapping unseen connections in mundane events of life, imbuing them with meaning and turning the worldly into ritual. This practice has been severely aided by the use of photography and then later in the studio sees itself, in one way or another, turned into painterly practice. Revisiting and remapping the archived images in order to bring them into the Atlas is a work that requires care and continued devotion.

Pedro M. Silva

Pedro M. Silva is a post-doc researcher at Heidelberg University, working in the Complex geometry and Homotopy type theory group. His research deals with the geometric properties of Higgs bundles.
